I don't think anyone will ask for reparations from Russia, also i don't think Russia would be punished if it had a November Revolution on the contrary if there was a Weimar Republic style government i would presume the West would help it.

As an aside, Germany was not humiliated after WW2. Heard of the Marshall plan?

Heard of Plan Morgentheau? Only reason Germany was allowed to flourish again was because France and UK sucked balls are reconstruction and they needed German industry to be back on track.

Germany also paid way more reparations than they ever got in economic help.

After WW1 Germany was purposefully humiliated - that led to the rise of Hitler

After WW2 the American funded Marshall plan helped Germany reconstruct

Which seems the better choice / outcome

The Americans literally had a plan to turn Germany into a permanently deindustrialized country for farmers forever under occupation.

The reality of the Cold War changed that plan and they still had to pay reparations.

I'm not saying that we should punish the Russian people after the war is over. I'm saying that until Russia has been beaten so badly it cannot claim even the most meagre victory, we should keep the pressure up. Once the Russians have been forced to realise they will not be allowed to attack other countries without the direst consequences, then we can adopt a more diplomatic approach.

Ukraine is just fodder? they are literally doing the fighting, the US isn't fighting this war buddy, just like the US couldn't force the Afghan army to defend their country from the Taliban.

Ukraine can surrender tomorrow if its in their best interests and Russia can also withdraw tomorrow if they so wanted.
