House report on Boeing 737 Max published

Imagine that document is the one that was edited before being handed over

Must have been even more egregious incompetence and recklessness being covered up

And finally, the Democrats accused F.A.A. management of siding with Boeing and dismissing its own experts.

On first glance there's some contradictory stuff in there. They say there wasn't enough federal oversight but then also say the FAA didn't do their job.

Which is it?

Internal communications show that Boeing dismissed or failed to adequately address concerns raised by employees relating to MCAS

And says that their own employees brought concerns to them and were ignored.

This simply sounds like the company acted in a criminal manner and should be fined into oblivion. Top level execs should receive prison time imo.

But of course they won't because of government corruption.

So how is more government going to fix that? Of course the government solution is more government (it always is) but I don't see how more government oversight is going to help when the government body tasked with that oversight is corrupt.

Well, this is the result of letting corporations get this large, they inevitably become cartels. Boeing...headed by the former McDonnell-Douglas goons, are convinced they're above regulation and above the law.

They are.

Wait…

So it wasn’t just “diversity hires” but actual rich folks doing the same old bullshit they been doing for generations?

Interesting.

Almost makes you wonder if Boeing was the driving force behind that short lil movement of shitting on pilots of color..

Hmmmmm

And government oversight boards turning a blind eye. Big government and big business work hand in hand.

Oh look at that. Boeing is one of the biggest winners in the Ukraine fiasco.

What's really amazing is what cheap whores government are. Boeing only puts $15M into lobbying every year. That's enough to buy them protection.

In 2015, at a congressional hearing, a Being executive said the company had an "arm of the FAA within the Boeing Company," with 1,000 employees working with the regulator. Acting Defense Secretary Patrick M. Shanahan, is a former Boeing executive

Tell me again how more government is going to fix that.
