None of that stuff matters collectively even by MMA rules. It matters who won the most rounds. So if all the damage or scoring blows are in 1 round it doesn't count towards the score of the other rounds. That's why looking at totals is misleading. So did Fury deserve that split decision win?
My untrained boxing eye, looked like Francis won based on MMA scoring criteria. Did more damage, landed the harder shots, controlled the center of the ring, landed more body shots, clinched less.
If a fight is close and there are any toss up rounds to where they could of been awarded to either guythern the decision is fair.
Francis lost the first 2 rounds, took the last 2 rounds off a bit, and arguably lost a couple in the middle. So either the 95-94 Fury or the 95-94 score for Francis seemed pretty spot on. Fight could have gone either way.
