I think my wife and my cousin must still have bruises from my elbows during the part where Thor grabbed SB and Mjolnir, then I had a similar reaction to you when Cap got a hold of it.

I've been on this ride since the beginning. I watched the first Iron Man in the same theatre I saw Endgame. This was literally the end of an era. I don't think any true Marvel fan could fail to have an emotional reaction to this movie. The MCU has changed cinema as a whole. No one had even attempted before what they have done: to tell an over-arching narrative through 22 films spanning 11 years is, on paper, insane. But they've done it.

I said on the day I saw Endgame that Joe and Antony Russo had broken my heart. And I loved them for it.

To be honest, I think Phase 1 - 3 of the MCU will not be replicated, never mind surpassed, for a very long time. It may even be a once in a generation experience. The Harry Potter franchise is over, Star Wars and Star Trek, let's face it, fucking suck right now. James Bond is still going strong, but it's obviously based on a single character. The MCU had multiple characters, locations, story arcs etc. And yet somehow they managed to create an overarching framework and finish it perfectly with Endgame.
