He didn’t at all “go crazy” on werdum.
And again, it’s common sense that dc would be far superior on the mat with submissions than Coleman or randlman.
And werdum wasn’t just the “same guy”. He clearly got better...
I think he did, Werdum goes down and Fedor looks to unload instantly with GnP with him throwing up a high guard, he carrys on doing so even when he has to escape a triangle attempt.
In the Nog fight on the other hand he see's he still has a live opponent after catching him and taking him down, mostly looks to maintain position for away and then only attacks at points when Nog's guard isn't high and from further away where its harder for Nog to get hold of him.
As a grappler Werdum was already a BJJ world champ and an ADCC champ in Pride, any advancement from him was I think much more standing although he also lost agility by the time of his UFC run IMHO.
