Not saying it will be anywhere near as good but there's this -

Also, for any fans of Portal and Game of Thrones that have never seen this -

Will definitely check out Entropy Center. Thanks.

Hey did you guys finish the ascent? What weapon is good against robots? I am at this part where I am fighting a gang of spiders, turrets and robots. It's a pain in the ass.

Solid chunk into DioField Chronicles. Just made it to chapter 3 and it's clicking a lot better once I started using L1/R1 to cycle through up units rather then trying to navigate the map with the analog controller.

Got a handful of characters and starting to unlock a whole bunch of equipment upgrades and my RPG OCD is going out of control. Looked up the trophies and it looks like you can get the plat just from playing through and doing all of the side quests, then throw a little grinding at the end to hit max level and a bunch of money.

Your journal tells you what every enemy is weak to as long as you've killed them at least once.

That part is simple. Ballistics against fleshies and Digital/energy for Robots.

It's the actual weapon suggestion I am looking for. I ran through the game pretty fast and I am pretty sure I missed out on some items. I am looking for a specific energy weapon that is suppose to be the strongest one. I have a few ballistic end game weapons already. There are also a limited amount of components to use to upgrade weapons.

Ah i see. I played the entire game on hard using the more powerful ballistic sub machine gun, and an energy sniper, can't remember names but i had them both fully upgraded by the end. I also used spiderbots for crowd control against any enemy type and a mechsuit against anything with a large health pool.

How are you finding the story? Is it as easy as I have seen reported?

Ive played Wo Long around 6 times. 3 times in coop, and 3 times alone. I cant wait till the final product, cause your playstyle could be vastly different dependin on your weapon, martial arts etc.

You can break the game with a combo to poise hits, and deal damage whilst hitting. Its so good even with all the issues with the demo. A day or two left, so anyone interested should defo play.
It gets better, Jo. No difficulty options incoming either – confirmed:

Thank god, I spent basically an hour on the boss and it felt so fun. They nailed the difficulty. Starts of impossible and you improve every round

Been playing Bravely Default 2. Loving the job system and the combinations you can setup. Also enjoying the display setup.

I also tried ff6 pixel remaster and holy shit those pixel remaster games look like shit on my TV. Maybe on an old crt these would look great.

Story is pretty standard fare. Power struggles, limited resources, invading armies, etc. Only in chapter three, so I’m guessing there will be betrayals, and characters coming back you thought were dead.

As for difficulty it’s hard to say because in RPGs I typically over level and do all the side quests and buy all the best equipment before I move on with story missions. So by time I get to a story mission I typically crush the enemy, but I’m still early. I’ve only died a few times from being overconfident. Came back with a better strategy and cleaned house. The nice thing about the battles is it auto saves checkpoints during the battles so you can choose multiple point on the battle to jump to.

It's my favorite game. The sprites look better in the 2014 vs the remaster. They just made it brighter.

Yea apparently there is a mod to change back to the old sprites but it all just looks like junk to me. Like the towns and all of that.

It does look bad. I think it's meant for a tiny screen. It might be better on a phone.

I think your 100% right about that. When I was watching the small little videos in steam it looked great and I was excited for it. Downloaded it and right away I was like nope I can't do this. I wonder how it would look like on a steam deck.

Yea it's a really old game. I downloaded Bully port on steam which is a newer game than FF6. It looked like dog shit. These games probably look better on a small screen. Steam deck is fine but I wish I can justify buying a handheld again.

I can't justify the cost either. I hardly have any time to play games when I'm not at home and if I'm at home well I'm playing on my PC or PS5. I tried it with a switch and just ended up selling it. Thankfully they were hard to find at the time so I basically made all my money back.

I was just hoping it was going to look more like Octopath Traveler did. I didn't like that game because of the way they did the story but I thought it looked great.

Well, I finally picked Nier Automata back up the past couple of days and finished it today. ~40 hours total to complete the three main good endings.

What I found funny was I saw an argument on what constitutes "Finishing" it since there are multiple endings. Some were arguing that as soon as you get hte first ending and the credits roll, the game is technically finished. I can't go along with that in this case as basically endings A, B, and C/D all add content, especially C/D.

I mean, if it's just a credit roll, isn't it Far Cry 4 where you could complete the game by simply not exiting the first room you're in within a set amount of time like 15 minutes or something?

Anyhow, the game was a like not love for me. I just can't get as emotionally invested in the robotic characters as I think many could, and the combat wasn't really crisp enough. Once I had the right chips and auto-chips on, and weapons upgraded, I was just slicing through everything like butter. I'll score it 7.5 / 10. But I do see how it might be more appealing to others, the game is unique and has a cool style. Soundtrack really sticks out given its style just hasn't been repeated anywhere else that I know of.

My next conquest will be Death Stranding. Wish me luck, it's been amusing reading how divisive the game is. I hope I like it.

E is the canon story / true ending after you've done C/D as the Farewell recital drama done during one of concerts in 2017 is an epilogue based on that ending

Finally got around to playing Salt & Sanctuary, great game. Then played through another 2-D souls platformer Tails of Iron. Kinda repetitive, but the art design is awesome and feels like you’re playing a Redwall series game.

Starting Moonscars today. Has a Blasphemous feel, good so far.
