Is this real? Look at him mouth vs the words being said. Could be my phone is slow or the video is fucked up but I’m skeptical now with viral videos like this. With that said, I’m sure Obama has said some thing similar, just maybe not that exact sentence.

I haven't seen a lot of talk about Tim Scott, I thought he did pretty good even though he's not the smoothest... What do you guys think ?

He is the Rubio campaign of 16. Will be optimistic and try to avoid engaging other candidates which has its limits in this primary. I think he has to bank on a lot of people crashing and burning to ever get to #1 with that strategy. With that said, rhetorically I like him and probably but him right behind Haley. However, I haven’t been able to find anything all that impressive with his time in the Senate. This field is all people mostly with executive level experience and that likely is going to help any of them attack Scott who just makes up down votes on bills contain many provisions vs them being able to point out direct actions they were able to do. I think normally a senator is at a big disadvantage for the GOP primary for that reason.

Its real.

Only idiots would conclude Vivek copied & pasted Obama's old speeches, but it was probably a campaign employee that wrote his opening statement ripping off Obama's writers of that speech.

Remember how they said that Trump's wife had a speech that plagiarized Michelle Obama from just a few years before? As it turns out Michelle Obama plagiarized Bob Dole's wife from 1996?
(Their speech writers plagiarized former political speeches)

Well, Christie was right about it. Vivek is legitimately as blatant of an example of a GOP npc as you can get. Not a single unique stance on anything...

He's just analyzing where the base is at and positioning his politics to match it. Christie identified that Obama did the same thing. And Obama ended up being one of the most popular Democrats. So strategically its not a bad position to be in.

That's just not true. In fact not at all. I don't know of a single other Republican that has ever questioned our Israel funding. Like ever, in the entire history of the Republican party.

It's actually kind of bizarre there are multiple posters here insisting that Vivek is just more of the same when he is literally the only Republican candidate to ever question the U.S. steadfast support for Israel. I disagree with the guy on pretty much everything else but he is right on that issue, Of course the right wing media is trying to portray him as an "anti-semite" as they always do. Identity politics, at its worst.

Hmm, Vivek leading the poll? I thought Christie won the debate. Pence dunked on Vivek.

Asa Hutchinson actually seemed to make some sense when he spoke, so obviously he’ll never be a successful Republican nominee.

DeSantis seemed extremely weak to me. While I do strongly dislike the guy, I think he’s a smart dude and I expected a better performance. He just floundered up there.

From prior cycles, the polls often become just “who do I like” rather than any real performance. No one really popped out among the field though so no pick is really that crazy. I just thing Vivek clearly lost most of his exchanges but had one or so jab that worked with both Pence and Christie. With that said, they were jabs, not some answer to a question where I thought this person knows what they are talking about.

Pence attacked Vivek mostly for being a young whippersnapper multiple times. Funnily enough Vivek is old enough by constitutional standards to be President.

What is it Pence? Don't you respect the constitution?

Vivek - came off as the best speaker of lot but he just alienated all moderates with Climate Hoax n revolution talk . He won battle (debate) but committed war suicide. He has charisma though I admit.

Haley - was real winner here. Logical , articulate, on point, an wasn't rattled. Good showing for Haley. I think Haley becomes VP csnidate. She is also imo the canidate who can be nom if Trump falters.

Desantis - done an he wasn't terrible last night but no charisma. He's a hall monitor personality . Has the best substance and would be most actionable of canidates just no delivery at all.. Biden now even beats him in a debate. He was left alone last night and still was mediocre I need to see how he does under fire but looks bad imo right now.

Pence is an angry old man shaking fist saying look at me look at me.

Christie - was actually good and would be there with Haley but he alienated Trumps base.

Scott - I had mega hopes for. He did great very end but was mediocre at best rest of debate. He might not have the chops for a potus run. Vp at best for Scott.

I think that recognizing someone is legally old enough to be president is an entirely different thing than them being qualified, or having the attributes to be a *good* president.

Christie gets my vote, but I could have gone for Haley. Vivek’s strategy will work like a charm with the base, though.

I predict Trump will gain 5 points in the polls, as Liddle Ronnie Meatballs drops bigly, and Vivek and Haley gain a little.

It was a comment meaning that Vivek looks to be inexperienced for the job. Not always true but thus far, is looking correct. Vivek seemed like Tulsi where she would just spam some word like “regime change” which was a populist message on foreign intervention and it garnered likes from a certain group (mainly republicans). Vivek was doing it there with “career politicians”. It’s a good rhetorical line and somewhat populist but not all that good. There’s use some in serving as a governor or senator before becoming president, a record shows up and experience is learned that will be a little bit similar to the role. You can’t usually say that with private sector work though I would see it as a plus if it wasn’t only private sector work. Maybe Vivek would be a good public leader but I’d like to see that tested out as a mayor or at most governor.

So he ain't the new desantis? In 6 months time when he has slipped down the polls like ron nobody here will admit they supported him..
Funny how that’s exactly how it’s playing out. All the Vivek clowns were RDS clowns 6 months ago, and were Trump clowns before that. They will all land back on Trump and pretend they’ve been with him the whole time. Really shows how little they believe in their candidates despite how rabid they are about them.

Why was he accused of not supporting Israel by another candidate and then responded with that’s not true?

Not a Republican voter but.

1) Vivek is fucking cringe. Oh the American dream won't be there for my kids. Dude is a fucking billionaire gtfo. Also saying cops have to worry about being sued? Qualified immunity is a thing bro. I will give him credit for at least mentioning nuclear.

2) Tim Scott seems to be running on a I grew up in a single family household

3) Ron is annoying

4) Pence only wanted to really go after Vivek but when he did, especially on Putin/Russia it was amazing.

5) Christie did mostly ok, got completely hammered on the credit rating of NJ dropping during his time. Not a good look.

6) Nikki did the best. She was the most willing to actually answer questions and provide quality sound bytes.

7) Asa I can respect his work as a prosecutor. I do like that he actually said we need to respect our judiciary.

8) Doug Burgum needs to go back to North Dakota

Love all these candidates bitching about spending when the ones who have been at a federal level have no issues voting for spending when it's their party.

This was a pretty crap train wreck.

I think the hatred for Biden expressed by Chris kind of illustrates the problem. If you believe every crazy attack by the opposition, of course everyone who is in office is a monster. And also, no one likes to talk about this, but a lot of it still goes back to slavery.
That fact he went to Maui and talked about his kitchen fire and 67 Corvette amidst a tragedy speaks volumes about him.
