RIP to Howard Schellenberger. There is no U without him.
Yeah, Louisville was about to drop to 1AA.Agreed!
He was a great person. And let's not forget what he did at Louisville after leaving Miami.
Hate it. Absolutely hate it. Even if it benefits my team.12 teams is too much. No automatic bids, so the SEC invitational?
OU and Texass to the $EC??
Let's all hope so. The SEC should trade Arkansas and Mizzou.OU and Texass to the $EC??
I too yearn for the days of smaller, regional conferences. I think 10 is the best number since you could have round robin and that still leaves enough to play OOC.College football is just stupid now. How many top programs, and how many teams period will be in the SEC?And now that they are going to be able to get paid, all the best players are going to go to a major market or a glamor program. There will be like 6 or 7 teams able to win going forward
exactly. And i see that the alabama qb who hasnt even started a game already has like 1 million in endorsements. how is any other school going to compete with that? they should have just allowed each player on the team be able to make 20k or something. this is going to be stupidI too yearn for the days of smaller, regional conferences. Pretty much exactly what’s going to happen. The starting QB at Clemson/Bama/tOSU/Oklahoma is now a guaranteed 7 figure job. They just solidified the best QBs in the nation for the foreseeable future. There was already a divide from those 4 teams but now it will grow even more.exactly. I think schools like USC and UCLA will also climb up since they are in LA and that is great for marketing purposes. No NY teams, so that won't be an issue. Also, be prepared to see conferences booting out programs to make room for new ones. It might be down to the SEC and Big 10 in a few years.Pretty much exactly what’s going to happen.
