So why again isnt the UFC stripping Jones of the title?

Saying 'Cuz he is gonna defend agaionst Stipe" is not a good excuse. Most people think that no matter who wins both will likely retire after and its just a 'legacy' fight to get one more payday and big name on their resume.

UFC can do that without the title. People will still watch. No need to hold the HW division hostage over a year. All its doing is adding padding to Jones' "reign" lol.

Jon Jones might be UFC LHW GOAT with a * for being busted for PEDs more than once. He got 1 fight at HW, he is not some kind of MMA GOAT that Dana White tries to establish, discussions can go forward without using that nonsense as an argument.
