Newsom took office in 2018. Homelessness existed before that, and Newsom is taking the right approach to reducing it.

Trump was impeached for trying to extort Ukraine (using public money) to smear his likely election opponent. Any president in either party would have been impeached for such an egregious abuse of power. The recall of Newsom is justified with a bunch of silly shit that no one actually thinks justifies a recall, but the GOP plan was to recall him before he even took office because the rules make it much easier for them to get the governorship that way.

"Meddled" mostly involved illegally obtaining private information and disseminating it in a way designed to help a candidate. Do you think that's OK? If people are willing to call stuff like that acceptable, it doesn't seem like they actually care about democracy at all.

Note also that the Steele dossier wasn't released before the election. It wasn't designed as a messaging thing or something. The point was to find potential attack lines, and in the process, Steele became concerned that Trump could be blackmailed.
