Elections 1st Republican Presidential Primary Debate (8/23)

Who won the debate?

  • Total voters
    78
  • Poll closed .
Nice revisionist history. Our conversation started because you made a stupid claim surrounding the similarities and got called out for it.

A claim you haven't disproven.

I said a campaign employee probably wrote his opening statement, and you said 'Nuh Uh!'

Yeah, real insightful retort.

I do?

Yeah, I'm a big poopy head and a partisan because I don't irrationally hate the president. What I said is true, though. For 40 years, he was well-liked by people on both sides, and then when he became president, everyone felt the need to pretend that he's some monster. I even remember here in the WR, when Hillary was the Worst Person Who Ever Lived, people were saying that they didn't just say that about whoever the Democratic presidential nominee was, and if they nominated Biden, no one would be making personal attacks.
Good job ignoring what I said. Keep justifying his lies.

"Trump lies, Biden lies, it's all the same. Exactly the same. That's why we need to lock up Hillary Clinton and Hunter Biden. It's the fair thing to do."
What a great answer from another political hack.

I fucking hate Trump. It doesn't mean I have to justify Biden's lies.

I was pointing out how you keep shifting the narrative of the discussion exposing your typically dishonest self.

You justify every lie he utters and try to find a logical reason to do so. The facts don't lie. He lied about his College achievements. He lied about talking to his son's associates. He lied about the fire in his house. He lied about his son's death. He lied about his uncle. He lied about his trips in Afghanistan and Iraq. He lied about gas prices. He lied about student loan forgiveness. He lied about his civil right involvement. Etc.

These are not opinions. We're talking about irrefutable facts. Biden has always been a lying pos.

You're 100% right. It is indeed pretty instructive you keep acting like he's not a lying sack of shit and justify everything he says. You want to be perceived as a man who calls out the BS on both sides, a man who doesn't take a side, but your answers tell a different story. Don't PM me. I'm done with this shit. Answer me on the forum if you want an answer.

You're a political hack. Own it. It's sad because you're a very intelligent man. You're just awful at introspection.
When did he lie about student loan forgiveness?

Let's reflect on these neocons
same shit, blood thirty bastards

Ron Paul booed for the Golden rule

Nothing like puppets debating on stage for a shot at representing the same fan base to get the sherbros to start fighting each other

Wow, big numbers. Gonna google and see what the 2016 primary and edit

edit: according to politico, the GOP primary debates in 2016 got over 16 million for the 3rd one

https://www.politico.com/blogs/on-m...ings-show-big-night-or-fox-news-debate-220257

And the first one in 2015 got even more, 24 million

https://www.vox.com/platform/amp/2015/8/7/9117381/republican-debate-ratings

didn’t know trump skipped the second one back then over Megyn Kelly

I suppose those numbers don't include those like me that watched on youtube via stream.

I'd say Vivek just edged it but he looked out of his depth at times. I don't trust that guy to run the country at all and think he's over his head but the guy is a great salesman which would be enough to convince Republicans.

Step back a sec, chief. What do you think is more likely?

1. People just keep inexplicably voting for the worst people in the world (and progressively worse) for an office that most people way that they want a decent person in.
2. Whoever is in office will be called the worst person who has ever lived by the other party regardless of their personal qualities.

Seems very obvious to me that it's 2. Which means that someone's reputation before they take office should be given a lot more weight than their post-election (or campaign, really) reputation by the other party.

Are either of those points wrong? And let's take it for granted than I'm a bad person for even questioning the narrative and just answer the question without adding more commentary along those lines.

Nikki Haley- "If you don't send $$ to Ukraine you support Putin"
"Israel doesn't need America, America needs Israel"

Fucking neocon cunt

Looks like she is realizing they ain't going to let two Indians to advance to round two in the republican primaries.

Hmm, Vivek leading the poll? I thought Christie won the debate. Pence dunked on Vivek.

Asa Hutchinson actually seemed to make some sense when he spoke, so obviously he’ll never be a successful Republican nominee.

DeSantis seemed extremely weak to me. While I do strongly dislike the guy, I think he’s a smart dude and I expected a better performance. He just floundered up there.
So who's body are they gonna get to photoshop Vivek's head onto?
